Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You will need to provide valid photographic identification (e.g., passport, driving licence).
- You must have a sufficient level of English language proficiency to understand the training and assessments. This typically means being able to read, write, and speak English at a Level 2 standard.
- While not always mandatory, prior knowledge or qualifications in security, first aid, or conflict management can be beneficial.
- You will need to undergo a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service - DBS in England and Wales, or equivalent in Scotland and Northern Ireland) as part of the SIA licensing process. Certain convictions may prevent you from obtaining a licence.
- Full attendance at all training sessions (both online and in-person practicals) is mandatory.
- You must pass all required assessments, including written exams and practical demonstrations.
